Some days are decent and on others they just won’t bite. There is a ton of small bait out there and lots of yellowtail. We saw a lot of bait at the Island with no takers. Maybe it turned on late afternoon. We loaded the boat with bottomfish though and hit them good at San Antonio one day too. Yellowtail tournament next weekend, so hopefully the fish will be hungry.

Feb. 7th

San Antonio is hot again. We’ll see tomorrow if I found the secret jigs to use. We are going to try some chumming too. Lots of small bait. The fish are up to 20#. Should be a good afternoon bite this week.
