Well, at least it is feeling more like Spring here. The water was showing at almost 70 off of Loreto yesterday. Over here though it is dipping below 60. The wind finally let up after a week for the last several days. Boats were fishing, but not catching much at all. The bite has been in the afternoon though when few to no boats are still out there. The tides should start changing, the water warming, and the fish packing on some pounds before the spawn. Still great fishing down at the bass lake where they are starting the spawn. Air temps are starting to hit the 80’s. I’ve had enough of winter, how about you?

January 10, 2011We had a good bite around Christmas and a few days after New Years, and now it is pretty slow. The last time out we hooked two fish and lost them both to the seals. I have only heard of one boat catching three fish. It is slow in close and at the Island. Things will pick up though. We made it to Oviache to catch forty bass. Only a half dozen in the 3-4# range, but we had a great trip. The yellowtail tournament is Feb. 5th and 6th. Let me know if you have any questions – repsilon@aol.com.
