August 24th update

Sounds like the full moon had the fish biting a little better in the afternoon. Some fish on the reef, and we saw a few closer in. We and another boat both caught a could keeper dorado about six miles out. We picked up a striper that was begging to be put back so it could swim back to the cooler water. Temps are a little high. That didn’t stop one boat from getting five big ones 50mi. out, another picking up five billfish and losing one good blue in the afternoon, and the boats got into tuna up to 70# the previous two days. I think that the fishing will be great in a month. Lots of small dorado to play with in the bay around the buoys. I’m going to break out my fly rod. Some up to 26# have been caught there though.
